I needed a stippling brush for applying my liquid and powder foundation and when the mac lady told me their cost $42!! I knew it was time to search online for a cheaper one.
From all of the reviews I read on different stippling brushes, the common denominator when it came to complaints was the hairs shedding from the brush. After a lot of searching I found this brush from Japonesque, and another one from Sonia Kashuk. The Sonia Kashuk brush is basically the same thing as the Japonesque brush, except I got it at Target for $10. I tried both of them out for a few weeks and my conclusion is as follows:

Bristles are a little softer than Sonia Kashuk's brush

I'm super lazy in the morning and need something quick and easy to hide my blemished face! Everyday make-up shouldn't be cakey like you're going on stage somewhere. I want natural yet full coverage.
This brush provides exactly what I need! I use two types of foundation depending on what's goin on with my face that day. If i need more coverage, I use MAC fix foundation and on good skin days, I use Bare Minerals.
This brush works fantastically well with both foundations. The MAC fix foundation is a combination of liquid and powder foundation. It works just as well with my powder Bare Minerals foundation.
I'm not sure how it works, but the make-up is distributed lightly and smoothly giving you a flawless, non cakey finish.
